We spotted this Milk Thistle at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in late April.
Silybum marianum has other common names including cardus marianus, blessed milk thistle, Marian thistle, Mary thistle, Saint Mary's thistle, Mediterranean milk thistle, variegated thistle and Scotch thistle.
